Existence of Solutions to Fractional Hamiltonian Systems with Combined Nonlinearities
This article concerns the existence of solutions for the fractional Hamiltonian system −tD ∞ ` −∞D α t u(t) ́ − L(t)u(t) +∇W (t, u(t)) = 0, u ∈ H(R,R), where α ∈ (1/2, 1), L ∈ C(R,Rn ) is a symmetric and positive definite matrix. The novelty of this article is that if τ1|u| ≤ (L(t)u, u) ≤ τ2|u| and the nonlinearity W (t, u) involves a combination of superquadratic and subquadratic terms, the Ham...
متن کاملLocal scaling in homogeneous Hamiltonian systems.
We study the local scaling properties associated with straight line periodic orbits in homogeneous Hamiltonian systems, whose stability undergoes repeated oscillations as a function of one parameter. We give strong evidence of local scaling of the Poincaré section with exponents depending simply on the degree of homogeneity of the potential. PACS numbers: 05.45 +b To appear in Phys. Rev. Letts.
متن کاملOn the prescribed - period problem for autonomous Hamiltonian systems ∗
Asymptotically quadratic and subquadratic autonomous Hamiltonian systems are considered. Lower bounds for the number of periodic solutions with a prescribed minimal period are obtained. These bounds are expressed in terms of the numbers of frequencies corresponding to the critical points of the Hamiltonian. Results are based on a global analysis of families of periodic solutions emanating from ...
متن کاملOn the Limit Cycles of the Polynomial Differential Systems with a Linear Node and Homogeneous Nonlinearities
We consider the class of polynomial differential equations ẋ = λx + Pn(x, y), ẏ = μy + Qn(x, y) in R where Pn(x, y) and Qn(x, y) are homogeneous polynomials of degree n > 1 and λ 6= μ, i.e. the class of polynomial differential systems with a linear node with different eigenvalues and homogeneous nonlinearities. For this class of polynomial differential equations we study the existence and non–e...
متن کاملA Semi-fredholm Principle for Periodically Forced Systems with Homogeneous Nonlinearities
We show that if the potential in a second-order Newtonian system of differential equations is positively homogeneous of degree two and positive semidefinite, and if the unforced system has no nontrivial T-periodic solutions (T > 0), then for any continuous 7"-periodic forcing, there is at least one 7"-periodic solution. In this note we consider a system of second-order differential equations in...
